Welcome to my website which explores the work completed for my undergraduate thesis at the University of Arkansas. During the 2002-03 school year, I spent 13 months at the University of Otago as an exchange student. My time there was funded by the generous Elizabeth W. & J. William Fulbright Scholarship for Study Abroad available at the U of Arkansas.

My main goal was to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in an unique way, of course, I had to learn more about GIS (which I did at Otago) and began further exploring Global Positioning Systems (GPS). As my knowledge of both technologies and history of the Otago region grew, I formulated a plan that has led to this website and the topic for my honors thesis. You are welcome to read more about the process in the Introduction.
